📆 Thursday, June 11th from 6-9pm at ONE Contemporary Gallery ✨

📍395 Edgewood Ave SE
Atlanta, GA 30312

“Through Our Eyes”, produced by Atlanta Lens based artist Sheila Pree Bright in collaboration with One Contemporary Gallery and sponsored by Leica Camera USA ( ), was born from the energy and anticipation surrounding the FIFA World Cup’s arrival in Atlanta. As a city rooted in the legacy of the civil rights movement while emerging as a global sports destination, Atlanta exists at a powerful intersection of culture, history, and community. This exhibition offers an opportunity to see the city beyond headlines and stereotypes through the richness, complexity, and beauty of its communities.

The exhibition features Sheila Pree Bright’s new series, “Where We Gather”, an exploration of sports fan culture, alongside works by three women photographers selected by Bright: Nicole Craine, Julie Yarbrough, and Ysa Lopez. Bright’s mission was to spotlight professional women photographers outside the traditional fine arts world, each bringing a unique photographic perspective to Atlanta’s rich and diverse communities.

The exhibition also honors PelĂŠ, whose artistry on the soccer field transcended sport. Through movement, creativity, and connection, PelĂŠ united people across borders, languages, and cultures while helping elevate soccer onto the global stage. That same spirit of unity, storytelling, and cultural exchange is at the heart of Through Our Eyes.

*Join us for the opening exhibition on June 11 at One Contemporary Gallery. Soulful sounds by DJ Tracy Levine. Admission is free with RSVP.

*Free self parking is available for this event. 🚗
