We are sending a huge CONGRATULATIONS to 2026 Dance Canvas: on Film artist, Joshua Cleveland, on his film screening yesterday with Atlanta Film Festival! We first met Josh when we partnered with and awarded him a Best Film selection for ‘Parable of of the Other’ before it went off to ! It’s a great film and we are excited to see what’s next for Josh!

We are celebrating INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY with our 1st Artist-to-Artist classes of the season at The Home Depot Backyard! What a great day to come celebrate Spring and DANCE in Atlanta…and it’s FREE!! Come dance with us tonight:

We have two opportunities this summer that are open to college students & recent graduates ready to grow in the arts.

• Arts Administration: June 1 – July 31
• Dance/Choreography: June 1 – June 26

Administrative Track — marketing, fundraising, artist management, project development + career guidance

Dance/Choreography Track — dance classes & performance, leadership training, choreography development + career guidance

We had a great morning with our partners at as they shared the exciting news about the start of their 2026 Season! Our Artistic Director, Angela Harris chatted with from Good Day Atlanta about being part of the Home Depot Backyard’s Arts and Culture pillar and the experience of bringing free professional dance workshops to the Home Depot Backyard!
