I almost really almost walked away from doing music. Tired of DJing, Tired of producing, tired of the rat race. I had opportunities to make “real $$” in the “real world”. But I had ppl I love around me to keep me grounded and consistent. They told me keep growing in my craft until I close my eyes, and I’ll always love them for that.

That’s the reason why I made “things are what they are” because I did want to give up, I did (and still do) struggle with how things are in the world, I did question what my trajectory is in life is. And those things probably will always be there.. that’s why things just are what they are. So let’s be patient with ourselves, because slow is smooth and smooth is fast.

So be patient with yourself..

These last few months I dedicated myself to making the best music I possibly could.

Taking a step back to really feel every loss, every doubt, every win, every success was really needed. Looking at what my friends, my family, musicians, and the world was experiencing and wrapping that into music that means something AND sounds good is challenging but super important.

I realized that all of us in some way or another are hypocritical, all of us are flawed.. and that’s ok. Because honestly that’s what makes us human and NOT God. A lot of us wanna be humble and we wanna be seen at the same time. And that’s ok.. because “things are they what they are”.

And last thing. Musically, I appreciate everyone who I sent this album to and listened to it before it came out 🙏🏿. I appreciate for helping bring it to life. And I appreciate that Knowledge and skill to ethically bring forward a new type of artist And yeah that’s it. 7 songs 16 minutes. things are they are.. out now. As always
