There’s something about Party in the Kitchen that makes it one of our favorite events of the year 💚 It’s a chance to welcome our donors into our space, and give them a glimpse of what we do.

Last year's event was full of great conversations and even better impact. Together we raised nearly $600,000 to nourish our neighbors in need, which funded over 82,000 medically tailored meals for chronically ill Georgians who rely on Open Hand every day.

And now, it’s almost time to do it again! 🎉 Party in the Kitchen 2026 is happening September 24, and our Patron Reception is just over a week away!

At Open Hand, every meal tells a story. That is why we put extra special care into every medially tailored meal we cook, pack, and deliver... nourishing 13,500 Georgians last year!

Our supporters from The Colonnade are unlike any other, and Tuesday night proved it. Through the power of community, over $33,000 was raised to help nourish Georgians facing chronic illness.

This fundraiser started much like Open Hand: with just a few friends joined together by a common cause. Over time, that care for our community continued to grow, supporting more of our neighbors with the love, dignity, and nutrition they deserve. It is a special feeling to be surrounded by our friends who join us every year at The Colonnade, and who have supported our mission for the past 30 years.

We are also especially grateful to Colonnade Restaurant Inc for their ongoing support and dedication! They generously closed their restaurant for the evening to host this sold out event, and contributed an additional $6,000 gift towards our mission. We feel so fortunate for their partnership!
