is closing up shop. Here’s my appreciation post for . Anyone who sticks around in our little niche for as long as Matt did has to because they believe in the product and they believe in the community. was a sponsor for ORM over the years, and I’m so glad Ive gotten to know him personally and call him a friend. We shared some car rides and a hotel or two. I was happy to introduce him to every race and elite athlete because he was such a good dude. I was so stoked for him when I looked at start lines and saw so many VJs. It’s really hard to start something and make it profitable and make it last. Thanks Matt for everything you did inside our community.

We recently lost to cancer. He began documenting his journey in the fall of 2024 . I can’t say I knew him well, but i met him at a Spartan Race back in 2019 and had him on the podcast. We stayed in touch now and again on social media as you do. When he posted in December he was feeling so much better, I invited him to come back on the show but we never got to do it. He posted back in January that he had more tumors in his brain and was told he would die sooner than later. A very sad fact for the living is the longer you stay around, the more people you will lose. Rest In Peace Jack. Every day above ground is a good day.
