We are so excited to host UGA Hugh Hodgson School of Music faculty, alumni, and current students as they join forces with Chamber Music Athens guest artists, the internationally acclaimed Ying String Quartet, this Sunday, May 17 at 3:00 p.m.
Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of chamber music evoking scenes from around the world — Spain, Madagascar, France, and Czech Republic — in colorful music by Turina, Ravel, Saint-Saëns, and Dvořák. This special, one-time performance honors distinguished arts patron Robert G. Edge and the legacy of his teacher, Hugh Hodgson, and will also include performances by the winners of the 2026 Robert G. Edge Piano Competition at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music.

We are so excited to host the next Bach's Lunch in collaboration with the Emory Chamber Music Society this Friday, April 24, at 12pm featuring Hungarian-Nicaraguan-American violinist Abigél Králik. The only musician listed in Forbes 2020 “30 Under 30” list, Králik has been called “a shooting star in the truest sense of the word” (MRL, Germany). She makes her Atlanta debut in this recital with pianist William Ransom.

We are so excited to host the next Bach's Lunch in collaboration with the Emory Chamber Music Society this Friday, February 27, at 12pm. This Friday's concert will feature the brilliant French hornist, Bruce Heim, as he joins members of the Vega Quartet and pianist William Ransom for Brahms’ unique and beautiful Horn Trio, complemented by Mozart’s Duo for Violin and Viola.

Photos from our first two concerts of the 2025-26 season, both part of the Bach’s Lunch series in collaboration with the Emory Chamber Music Society.
The first concert, which was on September 5th, featured Grammy-award winning cellist Zuill Bailey joined by violinist Helen Kim.
The second concert, which was on November 21, featured virtuoso harpist Elisabeth Remy joined by the flutist Christina Smith and the acclaimed Vega Quartet.
Our annual Christmas Concert will be THIS SUNDAY, December 7th at 10:00am, featuring the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta Choir and Orchestra in a performance of Saint-Saëns’ Christmas Oratorio. We hope you will join us for this lyrical and elegant work which beautifully captures the spirit of the season.
