This month's theme for my guided meditation series is "Freedom Among the Chaos. Yesterday's meditation's focus was "Still here. Still Breathing."
And with what I'm navigating right now that phrase rings so true.
Our inner world creates our outer world.
And as I see significant parts of our collective outer world crumbling and collapsing, while continuing to manufacture a state of fear, disconnection, and scarcity,
I recognize that same energy moving through my personal world, too.
But with my eyes on the prize--that gorgeously abundant, joy-filled, and aligned vision I’ve created for myself and have been working towards--
I still feel the heat of the breath of the old versions, habits, and entities still lingering close enough to pull me back into survival, martyrdom, and overfunctioning.
And as we all know, the body keeps the score.
It keeps it so well that even my dreams can feel dangerous compared to the hold of a crumbling, toxic world that is familiar.
But I have felt the life-giving warmth of the sun on my brows and eyelids.
I know what it is to feel so rested, so at peace, and so connected, safe, at home, and at ease in my bones
To where even my deep inhale is so decadent and full that I feel wholly taken care of and provided for.
So I can't look back.
I can't go back.
We--cannot go back.
To still be here
and to still be breathing means everything we desire is also still available to us.
If, and only if,
we keep looking forward,
holding that brilliant vision of what's possible
Co-creating from the depths of our souls with the expansiveness and potential of the universe.
To keep putting one foot in front of the other
to keep tending to the breath, the stillness, the mind, the body, the spirit
Is to cultivate the inner world
and thus the outer world we seek.
To first be still
and then move
is to win.

✨ Gratitude for the Mothers Who Came Before Me ✨
In the middle of this incredibly tumultuous and transitional time,
as I excavate, clear, build, and envision the life I’m here to live,
I’m experiencing the support of my ancestors like never before.
I’ve been carving out a life that is radical, fiercely loving, deeply rooted in integrity,
and shaped by a self-care and preservation I never saw modeled up close.
I carry a vision for something more loving and liberated.
And I know I could not have received or integrated this vision
without the creativity, strength, and truth-telling of the women who came before me.
The love they poured into their children and everyone around them.
The soft landings they created.
The sharp tongues they wielded when necessary.
Each time I go off the beaten path—
when it’s uncomfortable,
when folks are trying to steer me in a different direction because they haven’t caught up yet—
I remind myself:
I am a living prayer, and I’m doing this for all of us.
For the women in my bloodline before me.
For the ones here now.
For the ones yet to come.
I don’t know the details behind the tears that never got to fall or what they had to push through in silence.
What they were whispering to God at 5 am, or secretly going back and forth about in their mind as they stirred their coffee in a quiet moment alone.
But I can feel their strength,
their knowing,
and their faith
deep within my bones.
And as I make this vision a reality—
a reality that includes both power and softness—I am so grateful for their sacrifices and guidance.
For their nudge to keep going just as they did, so I could be here today doing it my way.

✨ Lines from My Notebook: I wrote this in January and completely forgot about it. But after a morning journaling session, I found it again—and I knew it was time to share.
Fear is loud. Fear is organized. Fear is working hard to convince us that it’s winning.
But that’s not the full story.
This piece is a reminder—to myself and to all of us—that even when things seem to be unraveling, we are still here. Still breathing. Still with work to do.
We get to create what comes next.

Do remember the last time you felt rested & at ease in your body? Rhythm + Ritual helps you align w/ what truly supports you.
When I say rested, I’m not just talking about having had enough sleep, I’m talking about that feeling of being grounded, calm, whole—like you’re aligned with your true self. ✨
This photo captures the moment during my sabbatical when my body settled into what well-rested and aligned truly feels like.
🔍 Over the past decade, I’ve done the work to notice, identify, and recalibrate my life and work so they feel good and reflect how I want to live. But the extreme stress of the past few years has pushed me to a new level of understanding how to care for myself and integrate that into my daily life.
During my sabbatical, I’ve incorporated my tried-and-true system of clearing clutter in my mind, body, spiritual practice, physical and digital spaces, and relationships. 🧹
Now, I’m ready to answer the tough questions about what I desire and what needs to change in order to plan, organize, and manifest.
💪🏾 I’m feeling fortified and energized as I settle into a more grounded version of myself and begin to map out my goals, strategy, and intentions for the fall.
I’ve found my way to greater clarity and alignment, and I’m excited to help you do the same.
🍂 and I invite you to begin the fall with a simple, grounded approach and a wealth of support to discover your ideal workflow for your business, body, and spirit.
Join us for a 6-week series to design a supportive and sustainable workflow for your business, body, and spirit so you can shift from scattered and stressed to easeful and effective.
🗓️ We begin October 7.

⛲ A Sustainable Flow in Your Life and Work is Possible
🚫 Contrary to what capitalist culture would have us believe, we are not here to be productive, exploited, or extracted from.
🌱 We are here to be human and thrive.
🔄 The exhaustion, burnout, and overwhelm can have us on a path of forever being a hamster on a wheel.
🌿 Making space for the natural rhythms and rituals that honor our bodies and unique ways of being returns us to the elements that support feelings of connectedness, creativity, and calm.
🌍 Our inner world creates our outer world. How we function and engage with ourselves, our lives, and our work directly impacts our ability to build the world we want to see.
💖 If we want a more humane and just world, we as individuals must include and lead with humanity.
📣 Words from a Rhythm + Ritual Community Member:
“My biggest learning was the realization that how I am is how my business is. By deeply reflecting on how I want to prepare myself and my space to be in a relationship with my clients, I was able to identify clear ways to declutter and create better boundaries for my multi-use space. This awareness led to a nourishing paradigm shift, allowing me to see my business through a compassionate and spiritually integrated lens.” - Tamra H.

🧹It’s Time to Clear the Clutter, and there’s no better time than now.
Whether you’re navigating a messy home or office space, a to-do list you can’t seem to get on top of, or struggling to get your self-care needs met, clutter can show up in a variety of ways.
✨ Everything is energy.
Since energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another—it’s gotta go somewhere.
When energy gets stagnant, it can cause disease, emotional issues, physical pain, mental fog, and even staying in expired relationships.
🔍 Where do you notice a need to clear the clutter in your life and work?
Take time to identify:
-Physical spaces that need attention
-Digital distractions
-Daily habits that drain your energy or clarity
💖 Give yourself grace in the process. The goal isn’t about achieving perfection but creating room for energetic flow.
When we identify and clear the clutter, we make room for creativity, connection, and calm.

On 8/18 Ari brought in his personal new year with a bang as we celebrated with his friends at the park splash pad and playground. It was so much fun and we are so grateful for the love and community.
We are so proud of our little lion and thankful he chose us to be his parents.
✨May he continue to shine brightly and touch everyone around him as he learns to nurture and cultivate his inner light.

My personal new year is inspired and held by Toni Cade Bambara’s words:
“Revolution begins with the self, in the self…It may be lonely. Certainly painful. It’ll take time. We’ve got time. That of course is an unpopular utterance these days. Instant coffee is the hallmark of current rhetoric. But we do have time. We’d better take time to fashion revolutionary selves, revolutionary lives, revolutionary relationships. Mouth don’t win the war. It don’t even win the people. Neither does haste, urgency, and stretch-out-now insistence. Not all speed is movement.”
— Toni Cade Bambara, The Black Woman (1970)
🎂On 8/17 I celebrated my birthday with loved ones, yoga, dancing, and as much joy as possible.
🦋In this solar return and season of transformation, I am feeling so much gratitude for the amazing people in my life, the deepening of my spiritual connection, and for all of the love, guidance, and support in the growth and expansion of who I am. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙏🏾✨

👭 Our four year friendship started with a LinkedIn search.
From Coach/Client to bartering buddies to business besties, and now soul sisters.
Entrepreneurship can be a lonely business but it doesn’t have to be.
We could have stayed in the conventional lane of not mixing business and friendship, but we were brave and vulnerable enough to lean into connection.
And what is business but a means of connection? We know capitalism would say otherwise. But that’s the business model we choose.
It’s hard to work toward a dream that others don’t understand. That’s why it’s imperative to find your community. Otherwise it’s a very lonely and unsustainable road.
…
Being an entrepreneur often means that the success (or failure) of our passion projects all comes down to us.
But, when we’re hyper-focused on our business it can often be at the expense of finding community.
Whether we’re resisting meeting new colleagues, collaborating, or reaching out for help—there’s a sense that the only way forward is alone.
Rugged individualism and overworking is rewarded in our culture, but at what cost?
How do we get in right relationship with our work, ourselves, our loved ones, and our communities?
…
🌵 Join us TOMORROW for a panel discussion with and on how we can cultivate belonging and nourishing exchange in our work, ourselves, and each other.
Wednesday, August 14, 1pm Pacific / 4pm Eastern.

✨Intention Setting + August’s Theme: “Shine Your Light”
Last month really flew by, and as I reflect and set intentions for August, I’m in awe of how things have moved very quickly in typically slower social and political realms. We began the month in one place, and now we have new energy and activations in our collective responsibility to create a better world and say “No” to accepting things as they are. We are in an exciting time.
In July, three significant moments stand out:
🙌🏾 July 4th marked the 5th anniversary of my husband’s traumatic brain injury (TBI), and this month, he fully recovered and regained his memories, sense of self, and soul purpose. We are incredibly thankful.
🥳 Ari had a fantastic summer with friends, family, and various camps. He’s officially a 2nd grader now!
✨ The universe conspired in my favor, allowing me to take a 2-month sabbatical.
This month’s theme is “Shine Your Light.”
I’m ready to rest and focus on well-being like never before. It’s also my son’s and my birthday month. With the supportive energy that Leo season and Mercury Retrograde can bring, I’m excited to dive deep into self-reflection and planning.
As you reflect and set intentions, I invite you to consider:
1. How do you shine, and what contributes to it?
2. What are the ways you hide, and why?
3. Who benefits when you shine and when you hide?
Join me for August’s Guided Weekly Meditations on the theme of “Shine Your Light” every Wednesday at 12:30pm ET (RSVP link in bio):
- Aug 7th: You are a gift
- Aug 14th: You are worthy
- Aug 21st: You are brilliant
- Aug 28th: You are supported
