Alumni engagement results in improved chapter performance. πŸ’ͺ

Between 1964 and 1992, Beta Psi Chapter qualified for the Peterson Award from the Sigma Chi International Fraternity only once (1981-82), despite graduating a significant number of accomplished individuals (1 in 29 years or 3.4%). In 1993-95, the Beta Psi House Corporation embarked on a fundraising effort to replace the chapter house. Not only did that bring money in for the house, but it also stimulated more alumni engagement. We started to see improved chapter performance as measured by Peterson qualifications. The alumni began discussing tax-deductible giving and organized the Foundation in 2004-05. Skip Beebe and Bill Gunn started Leadership For Life in 2010-11. Since 1993, Beta Psi has qualified for 19 Peterson Awards (19 in 33 years or 57.6%). Overall, the Beta Psi Chapter is achieving a success rate of 32.3% with Peterson Awards.

What are your thoughts on alumni engagement? Join us in celebrating our achievements!

Beta Psi Sigs love to watch Georgia Tech have athletic success and something special may be happening on the Flats this spring/summer! Legendary coach Danny Hall turned over a loaded team with a potent offense (last year's ACC regular-season champion) to first-year coach James Ramsey (2026 ACC Coach of the Year). Tech Baseball has an average run differential of 6.0 runs per game, the best in the nation. Improved pitching has helped with an ERA of 4.58. Catcher Vahn Lackey was selected as the ACC Defensive Player of the Year while he joined Tate McKee, Ryan Zuckerman, Jarren Advincula and Drew Burress as All-ACC selections. Tech has been ranked consensus Top 5 every week of the regular season. Record attendance, record revenue, an ACC record 25 conference wins, the most potent offense in modern college baseball history and a victory over hated Georgia along with an ACC Tournament Championship have been highlights. The Yellow Jackets are set to host both the Regional and Super Regional, So, if you geta chance, drop by Mac Nease/Russ Chandler/Rusty C to pull Tech through to Omaha!

Keddy Bostic '84, John Greenwald '86 and Gary Blackwood '84 are shown here at the ACC Tournament in Charlotte pulling the Jackets through against Virginia. ⚾πŸ’ͺ
