I’m a mom… I try on outfits for events I’m probably gonna be too tired to go to after driving my kids around all day 🫠

There was a moment when I realized that pretty much everything I did was for someone else, whether it be my kids, my home, or my work. While I love all of those things deeply… I needed something that was just mine. So I went out on a limb and picked up tennis with very few expectations. I was just happy to have something to get me out of the house and back into me.
I’ve taken lessons on and off (because… life 😅),
had months where I was super consistent and months where I wasn’t… And today, I finally played my first “real” (ad in competitive for an actual tournament team) doubles match 🥹
Was I perfect? Not even close. Were my serves hot garbage? YEP 😂 But I stuck with it. I showed up. I had fun. I followed through. And to me, that means everything.
So if you’ve been thinking about starting something new this is your sign. Go for it. You won’t regret it.
Friday night plans include: peace, pajamas, and prosecco 🥂
