The Georgia Legislature will not redraw the state’s legislative and congressional maps during the summer's special legislative session, Speaker of the House Jon Burns announced Wednesday.

Rick Jackson will be the Republican nominee for governor, according to a race called by the Associated Press on Tuesday evening.
Jackson, Collins win runoffs to face Bottoms and challenge Ossoff in November U.S. Rep. Mike Collins will be the Republican U.S. Senate nominee to face incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff on the ballot in November. Republican voters also picked Rick Jackson to compete against Democratic gubernatorial nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms.
