Layout and pencils for my Absolute Batman #24 featuring the debut of The Bat. It was only after the full colors that I learned she only had one bandolier around her right thigh so I had to make edits. Freehanded perspective grid because I'm insane.

Behind the scene stuff- When I sent the layout in they came back saying the background might be too Akira or like the Matrix. They agreed that there must be a Times Square like area somewhere in Gotham but I opted to go with a more classic Gotham with a bit of Tim Burton mixed in so I could avoid later changes or edits. In the end, I think they were right, it plays better.

There’s nothing extra you need to buy, no code to enter, and no form to fill out. The 400 books will be inserted completely at random into qualifying Absolute Batman #24 orders during fulfillment.

You heard correctly- You have roughly a 1:4 chance of getting a completely free exclusive Absolute Green Arrow #4 signed by me. And with people likely buying multiple books, the chances are even higher.

I just wanted to take a minute to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has stuck with us and shown us patience over these last few crazy weeks.

(Outside of a few bad apples… but hey, there are always a few.)

As most of you know, like a lot of small online businesses, we have a relatively small team behind the scenes juggling a LOT of moving pieces at once — signing books, coordinating creators, packing orders, conventions, customer service, and everything else that goes into making these projects happen.

We definitely hit a few unexpected bumps along the way.

Scott needing dental surgery pushed back our Absolute Batman #21 signing and shipments, and then the absolutely overwhelming support you guys showed for our charity show — which we are incredibly grateful for — put us further behind than we anticipated.

There are also a small number of Absolute Batman #21 customer orders that experienced additional delays.
