After a decade two of the three are able to get together for a one-time show as HeadCat at Rockabilly Rumble, October 1st at Falcons Fury Harley-Davidson. Slim Jim Phantom of the Stray Cats will join his good friend, Danny B. Harvey of the Rockets on stage again with John Carlucci on bass.This epic lineup will perform a FREE concert with additional special guests: McPherson Struts and Jared Petteys & the Headliners.

Cruise up in your rod. Dress to the nines! Bring the kiddos! Both Jim and Danny will do a meet & greet following their performance. The FREE show kicks off Saturday, October 1st and includes a Mommy & Me PinUp contest and a cruise in to the event in dedicated hot rod parking and hand built motorcycle parking.

Hello friends! Long time no post. You may have noticed, Garage71 Radio hasn't been on air for a couple of weeks. Long story short, the studio was hit by lightning and it was the stuff of legends because it fried the motherboard of our server! The backup was, surprisingly, kaput, so we had to acquire a new server.

We're a small independent business, run by just a handful of folks, so we had to do some scrambling to get a new server. We should be back on air within another 10 days or so, we've got the server coming, then we have to get all our software and music reinstalled.

Thanks for your patience, we look forward to spinning music once again for all you fine, friendly folks!

People have been asking when we will play again and here is the answer.

At the end of April, Juan Carlos moved to Mexico City. We were hoping he would come back after a few months but he has not. Obviously that makes it hard for us to play shows. There are certain big festivals in which we could all fly into, but those opportunities are once or twice a year and under the current circumstances are non existent.
He did not move to Mexico because of us :-)
I would like to try and play more shows than we have in recent years. Everyone knows how talented Juan Carlos is and it will be difficult to replace him but we have to try if we want to do more shows and tours.We are looking for a drummer who lives near Phoenix. We may not find anyone but I wanted to go public with this to try and get the word out that we are looking and also to answer why we are not doing shows.
In the meantime, I am putting together new songs for a new album. No release date yet but at least I'm working on it :-)

It was about this time 35 years ago that The Quakes started.
