Our next senior spotlight brings us to MIDN 1/C Jack Yan! MIDN Yan is from Los Angeles, California and is currently pursuing a degree in User Interface at Kennesaw State University. In his free time he enjoys playing basketball and fishing. He joined NROTC because he wanted to defend his country and because of the impact his mentor, former astronaut Steven Lindsey, had on him! During his time in the unit he has had multiple billets as ATHO, OPSO, Senior chief, and BNCO. MIDN Yan plans to commission as a Student Naval Flight Officer. His favorite memory in the unit was holding new student pt and working at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. One piece of advice he would give to underclassmen is to make wise financial decisions before commissioning. Hooyah, MIDN Yan!
