✨ What an incredible week at the 2nd Annual Speech Camp hosted by us, Bright Future Therapy Services, in the beautiful Turks & Caicos! 💙

This year was extra special as we not only helped children strengthen their communication skills and find their voices, but also welcomed aspiring Speech-Language Pathologists to shadow our team as interns. It was inspiring to invest in both the next generation of communicators and the future of our profession.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing partner, The Department of Special Educational Needs Services , for your collaboration and support in making this camp a success. Together, we're creating brighter futures—one voice at a time.

It was a pleasure for us to host our 2nd annual speech camp in Turks and Caicos. Hopefully we guided these students into this fulfilling career as the island needs more SLPs.

We have been busy this Summer with various camps and therapeutic activities. This week our four interns from TCI National Internship and Apprenticeship Programme had the unique opportunity to work with two SLP’s from Bright Future Therapy🗣

This summer, the speech therapists at BFT had the incredible opportunity to volunteer in Turks and Caicos. 🌴✨

This year, we ran a week-long speech enrichment camp for the amazing children at the SNAP Center in Providenciales. The camp focused on building social communication and vocabulary skills, and it was such a joyful experience for both the children and our team.

We always look forward to volunteering at the SNAP Center and helping the special needs children of beautiful TCI find their voices. 💙

Another day of service warms my heart during these frigid days. My wish this year is to spread the gift of communication. 🗣

Feels good to be back in the building. Virtual is good but there is nothing like that face to face therapy, even if it is behind a face shield. 🥰

Happy Easter! Happy Autism Acceptance month!! Use the reflections of today's celebrations to remind you to treat ALL people with love and kindness. If everyone were the same this world would be boring. Embrace the differences and find light in all of God's creations.

My absolute favorite therapy activity is Pop the Pig!!! I use it in many different ways. It can be used as a motivator for participation (response is needed before a burger is given), to target colors by asking what color burger to feed the pig, and to target numbers by asking the number on burger and pressing his head down while counting the number of times pressed. I also use it to target concepts like full/empty, in/out, hungry/full, etc. The best part is no matter how many times the kids see this pig's stomach "pop" they are always surprised and excited to see it!!
