🎬✨ A Day in the Life of a Director… and then some.

This past weekend on the set of Revolution of Influence, Jamila officially stepped into the role of Director for the very first time, and she absolutely rose to the occasion. 💥

But directing was only part of the story.

While guiding scenes, collaborating with talent, and helping bring the vision to life, she was also serving as our BTS Photographer 📸, Digital Content Specialist 📱, Production Assistant 🎥, and even lending her talents to Special Effects Makeup. 🎭

People often see the finished product and think filmmaking starts and ends with, “Cameras Rolling. Sound Rolling. ACTION.”

The reality? It’s leadership, creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability, and countless moving parts all working together to create movie magic.

🎬🎤 Meet the man behind the boom… and apparently behind the sets too! 🔥 Sam Hill

This past weekend on the set of Revolution of Influence, Sam officially stepped into the role of Boom Operator—and let’s just say he made it look easy.

Most people think boom operating is just holding a microphone over an actor’s head. 🎙️ Wrong.

It’s timing. Precision. Endurance. Focus. Capturing every word while staying completely out of the shot. One missed cue and an entire take can be affected.

But here’s the plot twist… 👀

Not only did we discover that Sam is an incredible Boom Operator, we also learned that HE BUILDS SETS! 🤯

And because no good deed goes unpunished in independent filmmaking, he also got thrown in front of the camera and became Isaac Jones, Jr. 🎭😂

That’s the beauty of indie film. One minute you’re working sound. The next minute you’re building a set. The minute after that, you’re in the scene.
