We lost one of the great ones today. Pablo brought smiles and goodwill to everybody whose path he crossed. He was 1 1/2 years old when I adopted him 15 years ago as a scrappy chiweenie pup. We formed a super-tight bond like ET and Elliot while adventuring through the green areas around Atlanta. Recently he was battling multiple illnesses which had us at the vet frequently, but he remained strong and stoic until the end. I’m missing him a ton already. Mountain hikes and neighborhood walks will always feel incomplete. Rest in Peace old friend. 😭

I’ve been working towards a looser, more painterly style for a few years now, but often halfway through a piece I will revert to my comfort zone of heavy lines and a tons of detail. On this piece though, I managed to keep it loose without over-working things and I think it captures the essence of the place better. BTW - Image was inspired and referenced from a trip to Lake Winfield Scott (Suches, GA) in late summer a few years ago when the water level was low and the area was marshy.

We had a great opening last night for Return to Terra Flora! Much appreciation to everybody who came out for the show! A special thanks to the other artists & and the fine folks at who are fantastic to work with. I forgot to take photos at the party, but here is a gallery walkthrough. The show will hang through September and we welcome you to stop by and see it during normal business hours. If you are interested in purchasing work but can’t make it in person to the gallery, let me know and I can help facilitate the sale and delivery.

I’m excited to reveal this sticker design of a new Wyldflower character for the upcoming art show: Return to Terra Flora. During our original TF show in 2019, I developed these characters called Wyldflowers that have made sporadic appearances in my art for years afterwards. The first image in the album is my new design, the others are some of my favorite Wyldflower works from the past. In 2019, two artist friends ( & ) and I put together an art show at in Oakhurst, Atlanta titled: “Journey to Terra Flora”. The show theme had us on an incredible journey to a mysterious planet that was filled with outrageous plant life - and we 3 artists were documenting what we saw. It was a really fun experimental show that we always hoped to revisit.

Six years have passed since our previous mission and now we have decided it’s time to “Return to Terra Flora”!
