Are these floors salvageable?
The floors in my home are super beat. Are these refinish-able? And if so, where would refinishing come in the order of operations for a kitchen renovation? (New ceiling and wall paint, cabinets, and countertops).
I’m a stay at home mom with a limited budget. Trying to make our home a little nicer on my own.
Thanks. :)

1900 house underneath ceiling tile
Would anyone be able to tell me what kind of ceiling this looks like it might be underneath these old acoustic ceiling tiles of house built in 1900? (Yes, tiles are being tested for potential asbestos before tearing them down)

LVP peeling but only the top layer, how do we fix it?
Very small sliver of our LVP floor has peeled up, right where the boards connect, so when you step on the one order it kinda pushed up the break. We attempted to super glue it down but it didn't stick. Installed about 2.5 years ago by company did that our 1st floor reno. I think it is a click and connect kind of floor?

Second layer to reduce cold wall
There is an attic above my garage. On one side of the divider wall is the attic space and on the other side is second floor bedroom and walk-in closet.
I live in west coast temperate zone (Vancouver) so rarely really cold. Rarely snow.
The walk in gets chilly partially because door is always closed. Forced air on basement and main floor and baseboard top floor.
Would adding a second layer of rockwool safe and sound reduce some of the cold/heat transfer from un-insulated attic space above garage to the second floor bedroom spaces
Looks like 16 on center for wall and the studs on top maybe 24 on centre.
No I am not going to spray foam.
I am aware that a v***r barrier is already in place and adding another on top would be bad.
Pictures are from perspective of looking up at vertical wall separating attic space above garage from bedroom spaces.

What type of flooring/wood is this?
Can anyone tell me what this flooring is? It looks like wood but when i tap on it, it feels like enamel, very hard. This could be just the coating (see pic 2). Can anyone tell me where i can find these panels?

Messed up double rabbet joint for these nightstands. Best way to fix it?
Making some nightstands and for each board I made 1/2" rabbet joints with a router. Now I have this gap. What's a good way to fix it?
My plan was to take some scrap wood and lodge it in the gap to fill it. Any other tips?
I don't want to cut and restart the rabbets because these boards have gotten shortened already with previous mistakes ive made lol.

Brownie points to whoever guesses the species correctly.
Hint: it's not cedar or redwood.

Load Wall?
I’m not sure if this applies on this Reddit feed so i understand if it is deleted but I need help!
We took down the drywall in the home we just bought and want to renovate. Suffice to say the 1980’s wiring is odd! We want to try and open up the space more as the intended dining area feels tight and dark.
Does this wall appear to be load bearing and structurally integral?
If it is, is there a chance of creating two pillars on each end and opening the middle?
Any insight or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you!
