Grateful to be on the HipHopCineFest 2025 Jury this year. Rome, Italy is a festival project with the aim to spread knowledge of the hip-hop movement through the camera eye of the hip-hop filmmakers.

FEDERICO PEIXOTO
Costa Rican Filmmaker in hip-hop culture since the 00’s. He started filmmaking in the 90’s and soon he founded Gafeto TV documenting different underground cultural expressions from Costa Rica; he also documented international artists like Ephniko, DJ Lord and Sean Paul. He co-organized events like Griot Collecgve, the 1st Graffig Nagonal Convention, Buscando la Raiz and the tour Manifiesto Urbano, starting his DJ career. As a DJ he staged with artists such as DJ Muggs, Akapellah or Myka 9. He directed the documentary
‘Tlacuilos’, which narrates the Graffiti scene in Central America.

KONEE ROK
Konee Rok is a multi-talented director, animator, and b-boy, known for his contributions to hip-hop culture, particularly in music video, animation and documentary work, collaborating with many popular artists within hip-hop music and the breaking scene. He has directed music videos featuring artists like Wu-Tang Clan, Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Common, Redman, Rhymefest, & many others. Konee is also a co-founder of the breaking crew Chicago Tribe.

MARTHA DIAZ
Colombian-American futurist, she is a seasoned community organizer, media producer, archivist, curator, educator, and social entrepreneur. She has produced and consulted numerous hip-hop media projects, including ‘Where My Ladies At?’ by Leba Haber Rubinoff (2007) and ‘Nas: Time Is Illmatic’ by One9 (2014). In 2002 she founded the Hip Hop Odyssey (H2O) International FilmFestival, the first festival of its kind. In 2010 she launched the Hip Hop Education Center for Research, Evaluation and Training at New York University, now part of the Universal Hip Hop Museum.
