Clear Counseling Choice
I see adults for Individual Therapy, Couples Therapy, and/or S*x Therapy. A therapy session is typically 50-60 minutes.
Clear Counseling Choice provides effective counseling to those who desire to overcome the barriers keeping them from healthy, loving, and fulfilling relationships. Insurance is not accepted but there are a few time slots available for sliding-scale fees.

Emotional and mental injuries need to be acknowledged and healed for peak performance…whether at the Olympics or in our every day life. It’s so important to check in with yourself and be aware of your total health: mind, body, and spirit. Thank you for leading by example and showing the world that mental health matters. 🐐❤️

This article has great insight into what has been a common issue for clients I’ve been seeing lately, especially over the past 3-4 months when many have hit a pandemic-wall.

Many couples still have the desire for s*x but creating time and space for that needed intimacy feels like yet another task on the never ending
To Do list.

One suggestion I have for couples is to take the pressure off of s*x and focus more on pleasurable touch. Pleasurable touch triggers the brain to release oxytocin (the “cuddle hormone”) and decreases levels of stress hormones like cortisol. This can make moments of physical intimacy a relaxing time together, focusing more on nurturing your connection.

Another victim of COVID-19: S*x between married couples The forced domesticity of lockdown may not be conducive to intimacy, but relationship experts advise partners to set aside some time to connect

After cancer diagnosis so many things about life that are not cancer related seem to fall by the wayside. However, intimacy is so important and essential to connect with your partner and reconnect with your own body in a way that’s solely focused on pleasure. Rebuilding confidence, honoring your body’s abilities, and giving yourself permission to be a s*xual being after cancer can be incredibly empowering! I highly recommend these books for clinicians, medical professionals, women living with cancer, women who have lived with cancer, partners of women diagnosed with cancer...really, everyone! 🤓💜

After working from home full-time since the pandemic began, I realized my old, reliable laptop’s age was finally starting to show and become a problem (i.e. not so reliable). Enter my new, sleek, lightning fast laptop! I just got it over the weekend and can’t believe how much more I can do with this device. Admittedly I’m not the most tech-savvy person but I’m having fun getting to know my new coworker! 😊🤓💻

September is National Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month. If you are a woman or you have women in your life who you love, please spread awareness of and educate on the signs, symptoms, and importance of early detection. Early detection can save lives so please be the squeaky wheel, especially when it comes to your health and your body! 💜🙏🏼

So many thoughts and emotions about how this year has gone so far....and it’s only June! 😳😩 I often talk to clients about the importance of looking at a tough or overwhelming situation and identifying the story they’re telling themselves about it. How can that perspective shift? Most importantly, how can that perspective shift into something that is healthier, more beneficial to this moment?
🤔.
Maybe that’s how we need to look at this next 6-months of 2020. Instead of canceling 2020, how can we re-engage?

I love this suggestion for couples who are suddenly home together 24/7. Instead of getting stressed and frustrated with one another, try to make this unusual situation as fun and lighthearted as possible. Laugh together! Make space for joy again!
