I’ve got great news! After our Covid sabbatical, as extended by my knee surgery, we are planning our next trip for 2024.
In order to get back up to speed we are desperately looking for volunteers with experience in website design, graphic arts or artistry and fundraising. If anyone is interested in helping out, then please reach out to Jeff Gilbert. Jeff’s cell is 404.509.7143.
We are exploring new locations including Telluride, CO, the Utah Canyons, and Taos NM. It may be a late decision following snow patterns with a strong El Niño predicted.

We are still here folks! We are trying to gauge interest level for a 2022 trip. We recognize that the Covid pandemic presents special considerations and risk evaluations for the challenged community and would like to have your input? We will definitely require proof of vaccination for all participants, mentors and volunteers/staff.

We are pleased to announce the 2018 Crew!!! Our regular skiers will be Jason Doyle and Colby Higgins. These guys each have dipped a toe into skiing and are both very athletic dudes....Colby is local and Jason will be joining us from North Carolina. These guys are no bucket list guys and we're pretty sure they will graduate as true skiers with ice running through their veins....They seem pretty stoked to Mono-Shred the Gnar!!!!
This year, we have a special opportunity and thanks to some special sponsors, Ryder Crosby will be returning with us to explore the world of racing with the goal of ultimately making the US Adaptive Ski team. In this Olympic season, we couldn't say no to helping him along the way!
We have some cool mentors too! Greg Brennen of SugarBush Resort in Warren Vermont, and Dr. Urzsula Klich (pending board member) will be joining us. Greg has assisted and skied with adaptive skiers at Sugarbush's extensive program and Dr. Klich, formerly with Shepherd Center, has worked extensively with catastrophic injury specializing in Biofeedback for pain management. Both have a keen interest in what we are doing here at AASP and we know we are in for a great trip! So Pray For Snow!!!!!
We are currently reviewing all applications and have extended the deadline to Wed due to a glitch in the new webpage that may have delayed or blocks some applications... if you have applied and want a confirmation please email Mr. Gilbert at [email protected]...
