It's the 40th Anniversary of Title IX. Fulton County Parks has partnered with the Gender Equality program to offer sports clinics for girls.
Title IX helped level playing field, gave women chance to succeed One of my favorite Title IX stories isn't about me or about my daughter. Or even about the famous women athletes I've covered, like Jennie Finch or Julie Foudy.

The Fulton County Gender Equality family was sad to lose Dr. Brenda Sullivan. We pledge to continue her work on the initiative.
The Fulton County Gender Equality program is on the move. Sharon Whitmore Dep. Director of Finance and Dr. Ann Harris, Director of EEO/ODA recently returned from Montreal where they were invited to deliver a two-day training on Gender Budgeting. In attendance where international finance personnel and local Canadian community groups interested in how they can apply gender budgeting in their governments and organizations.
Did you know that Fulton County now has a full-time Gender Equality Coordinator? We welcome Dr. Brenda Sullivan in that new role! Watch for more updates from Dr. Sullivan and the Gender Equality program.
