The wisdom of failure is better than any success you could ever imagine. is the first non-profit, on-demand streaming platform and it’s being cultivated from the ground floor with nothing.. No major investors, upfront capital or wealthy colleagues. Starting over from scratch through my own mistakes and adversities I feel more than ever the need for systems to reflect equity and inclusion starting from the very top. The system of gatekeeping and enterprising creative people’s needs for opportunity has created an environment that’s all about clout and financial benefit - more than it is quality and sincerity. With Blacktivity, no one is charged..they’re empowered. In no way is this a movement to interrupt how people generate capital, but it’s simply one person who, through his own experience decided to pivot toward a direction that hopefully provides a space for community, growth and resource building that relies on genuine passion over economic benefit. Some may call it naive, but I still believe there’s a new way to level our playing fields by learning from mistakes before us and learning to work and engage with each other in new and fresh ways. Selling and empowering are two vastly different philosophical constructs. Please don’t take offense to the vision, I’m simply working to operate within things I’ve learned. Godspeed 💎
