Every 3-5 years, School Food Authorities (SFAs) participating in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program undergo an Administrative Review (AR) by the Georgia Department of Education School Nutrition Division.
Congratulations to the SFAs who underwent an AR this school year, and a special shoutout to our Coordinated Support and Services team for facilitating the review process.

This summer, we're highlighting the incredible summer meals happening in school nutrition programs across Georgia.
Yesterday, Dr. Linette Dodson, Deputy Superintendent of School Nutrition, had the opportunity to visit White County and ride along their mobile route, where they “Feed the Warriors.” The team provides breakfast and lunch Monday through Thursday, including a hot entrée each day, and also provides weekend meals each Thursday.
White County's community-focus was clear as the team knew who would be at which stop, and students were excited to see familiar faces and favorite meals from the school year.
Thank you to School Nutrition Director Abby Rowland, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning Jill Baughman, and Chief Officer of School Safety and Operations Matt Stowers, for allowing us to join you and for your commitment to Fueling Georgia's Future.

Throughout the summer, we’re revisiting episodes from this past season of FuelCast. Today, we’re throwing it back to September.
We sat down with Javontae “JJ” Johnson, School Nutrition Association’s National Employee of the Year, and Dawn Lewis, longtime director of Coffee County School Nutrition. Together, they share what it means to serve with pride, champion inclusivity, and show up every day for students. Their story is a powerful reminder of the heart behind school nutrition.
