WANTED | POLICE SEARCH FOR SUSPECT AFTER PREGNANT WOMAN SHOT IN DOMESTIC DISPUTE

📍Riverdale, Georgia

Riverdale Police officers responded around 6:53 a.m. to the 8000 block of Taylor Road after receiving a report of a person who had been shot.

When officers arrived, they learned a pregnant woman had been wounded inside a home during what investigators described as a domestic-related incident.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where she was reported to be in stable condition.

Police said officers secured the area and evacuated nearby residents as a precaution amid concerns that the suspected shooter may have remained barricaded inside the home.

Tactical teams were called in to assist with the operation.

SWAT entered the home due to what they described as exigent circumstances and public safety concerns.

Using drone technology, officers cleared the home and determined the suspect was no longer inside.

Investigators have identified the suspect as Jerell Clark.

Police said search and arrest warrants are being sought, and an active manhunt is underway.

Body-worn camera footage is providing a firsthand look at Cornelius Allen being tased while his hands are handcuffed behind his back which led to the arrest and termination of Greene County Robert Kline.

Allen was arrested for suspicion of DUI after a crash on I-20 on July 5, 2025.

The footage is at the center of a criminal investigation that resulted in Kline being charged by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation with aggravated assault and violation of oath of office.

This is unedited body camera footage from a few seconds before Kline deployed his taser inside St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital on July 6, 2025.

Recently, a Greene County jury] declined to indict Kline after watching the video.

It is unclear whether prosecutors intend to present the case to another grand jury.

BWC VIDEO SHOWS GREENE COUNTY DEPUTY TASE A HANDCUFFED SUSPECT INSIDE HOSPITAL

📍Greene County Georgia

Body-worn camera (BWC) footage is providing a firsthand look at the incident that led to the arrest and termination of a Greene County Sheriff's Deputy, whose case was recently presented to a grand jury that declined to indict him.

The video, obtained through Georgia's Open Records Act, captures the July 2025 encounter between former Greene County Deputy Robert Kline and Cornelius Allen, a man arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a crash on Interstate 20.

Allen was handcuffed behind his back, sitting in a wheelchair when he was tased inside St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital.

I requested the video after Kline contacted our newsroom earlier this month seeking an interview about the case.

In an email, Kline stated he had been "found not guilty" and wanted to discuss what he described as inadequate training within the Greene County Sheriff's Office.

However, Kline was never tried in the case. Instead, the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office presented evidence to a Greene County grand jury on March 25, 2026.

I set up an interview with Kline that was scheduled to happen on Wednesday, June 17. However, the day before the scheduled interview, Kline sent me an email stating "I spoke with my attorney yesterday, June 15, regarding your request to interview me about the BWC video. He has advised me not to speak to the media at this time."

It is unclear whether prosecutors intend to present the case to another grand jury.

**We're going on tonight at 11:45 p.m. I'll have more of the BWC on air. I'll also be posting a link to my report after it airs tonight**

2 DEAD, 2 INJURED AFTER TREE FALLS ON MOVING TRUCK

📍 Putnam County, Georgia

Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills said the incident happened around 6:15 a.m. on Pea Ridge Road near U.S. Highway 441.

The truck was traveling toward Highway 441 when the tree fell onto the vehicle.

Two passengers seated in the back of the truck were killed. The driver and another passenger survived and were rushed to a Macon hospital for treatment.

Their conditions have not been released.

The deadly crash came after a night of severe weather across central Georgia.

Southern portions of Putnam County were placed under a tornado warning Thursday evening as strong storms moved through the area.

Sheriff Sills told me last night that deputies responded to numerous reports of downed trees across the county during and after the storms.

He said the ground had become heavily saturated from prolonged rainfall, creating conditions that likely made trees more susceptible to falling.

Authorities have not released the names of the two people who died as next of kin notifications continue.
