a beautiful Master Bedro.om that just floats -- sweet dreams

Master bedrooms should reflect the clients inner quiet self. Finding the perfect calm color is vital in creating a place of rest. I love this bedroom !!! I love this color, it's a personal mix we created , It feels like a light grey blue sky . We worked hard to find the right mix of peaceful appointments . The draperies which look like clouds flowing adds a fluidity and free spirit to the space. The bedding was selected from a wonderful linen company in France - White Linen, beautiful reproduction vintage handwork , and somewhat affordable ( It's better to collect it than buy it all at one time. Your home should be your HAVEN , but your bedroom should be your sanctuary away from the world.

Good AM , I have a question - what is your motivation in purchasing a product ? Knowing the object is curated by women in third world countries and the message is incredible , or do you buy things that you like , no story . my question is - does it matter to you ?... social conciousness

I'm still out here , working and creating homes and lifestyles !! It's been an exceptionally challenging 6 months , great, but busy . I hope to be able to return to posting pics and having fun with you all soon . Enjoy this amazing weather , I was just sitting on my porch thinking about how a painting couldn't be prettier than what I'm resting in right now !!!

Twice a year furniture manufacturers and designers from all over the world stop what their doing and come to High Point Furniture Market , in North Carolina. It's wonderful to have the opportunity of seeing the beautiful new designs from artisans and visionaries . And in this world of internet shopping, having relationships with sales people you never get to meet in person, this is the chance. I get to share my views on design and what my clients are looking for, while observing where the trend might take us. Many years ago when attending market, I had the awesome pleasure of meeting Edward Brett , he was the President of Arthur Brett Fine BeSpoke Furniture made in Norwich , England. This was one of the best days in my design career!!! I was awestruck by the level of workmanship that went into each design , how much pride was pressed into each piece of wood carved. From that day I began a wonderful , long term relationship with this company. I flew to England to see and meet first hand the amazing people who made these reproductions , made specifically to order and signed by the craftsman who was solely responsible for the piece. It opened up a new world to me and thus my clients who I might say were proud to have any of these in their homes. I say all this because if it hadn't been for High Point , I might have never had this experience, . I dare say there are any manufacturers that share this quality and level of work in their product these days. The markets will not bear it . But hopefully with an open mind and continued sojourn to this place each 6 months , I will have the pleasure of stumbling into another Arthur Brett . I keep hoping!!!!

I took a little vacation throughout Thanksgiving and Christmas so just getting back to work. Atlanta Market was crazy as always with lots of amazing new things to show. A lot of new accessory trends and as always loads of fun in the showrooms !!! Great to see all my old design friends from all over the country . Sooo here's to a wonderful , healthy, prosperous , New Year . I'm looking forward to a lot of travel ahead , Nashville, San Diego, San Antonio, Birmingham etc....... beautiful new projects to work on and wonderful clients to share with .

another beautiful day in NYC !! no one can deny the energy and vibrancy in this city is exhilarating . Add in it's , fall, the weather is clear and cool the UN is in session this week, President Obama is speaking this morning and traffic is off the hook , you have a perfect trifecta. This afternoon I fly back to St Simons Island leaving behind this wonderful place. Thank you to everyone who made it FABULOUS.
