Today is World AIDS Day ❤️
Some stories leave an imprint that time cannot erase.
In “Remembering Lynn,” I reflect on one of the most impactful moments of my life, a memory of a classmate whose journey reshaped my understanding of love, loss, and the importance of reaching out while we still can.
From the heat soaked mornings at Tuskegee to the moment I unexpectedly saw her story honored on national television, Lynn’s life and legacy have stayed with me. Her strength, her beauty, her dreams, and the heartbreaking truth I learned too late continue to remind me how deeply people can touch our lives even when time and distance separate us.
World AIDS Day serves as a powerful reminder to honor the stories behind the statistics. December 20 serves as a personal reminder of Lynn and the lessons her life continues to teach me.
If you have ever had someone whose wisdom, presence, or memory stayed with you long after they were gone, this reflection is for you.
