Here's why Sam's wife believe its almost time for her to make a decision.

According to his wife, Shawna Stewart, Samuel Monroe Jr. remains on life support while battling multiple serious medical conditions, including meningitis, MRSA pneumonia, and kidney failure requiring dialysis.

But sadly, the situation has reportedly taken another turn for the worse.

Shawna revealed that Samuel is now suffering from encephalopathy, a condition affecting brain function, and says his brain tissue is deteriorating as doctors continue fighting to save his life.

Because his immune system is so compromised, the actor is reportedly being kept in a negative-pressure isolation room to reduce the risk of additional infections.

As Samuel's power of attorney, Shawna says she is now facing the unimaginable task of considering his long-term quality of life while still holding onto hope that he can recover.

At this time, no final decisions have been made. However, Shawna says the family is getting closer to having some very difficult conversations about what comes next.
