A love story in Brooklyn in the mid-70s created a beautiful girl named after an African Queen.
Raised by strength.
Guided by Grandma Debbie.
Anchored in expectation.

Before she knew what life would demand of her, she was taught what to demand of herself:
“I am smart.
I am going to learn.
I am going to earn.
I am going to make it.”
And she did.

Salutatorian, Stephen Decatur JHS 35 – 1991.
Top 10% of NYC high school graduates, John Jay – 1994.
Brooklyn College, BA in African American Studies – 2002.

Eloquent Essentials – launched November 2, 2009.
EEYSP – launched 2016.
From teen mother’s miracle
to grandmother’s last child
to a woman who built her own legacy.
50 years of purpose.
50 years of resilience.
50 years of making it.
