Seven Georgia church planters were assessed this week! Send Network Georgia Baptist Mission Board
Assessment is more than interviews and evaluation—it’s a prayerful process of discernment. Sending churches, assessors, and candidates came together to seek God’s direction and consider how He has uniquely called and equipped each planter.
Please pray for these seven planters and their families as they take their next steps toward planting churches across Georgia!

We love seeing Send Network churches live sent! 🙌
A team from Everlove Church recently took the gospel beyond their own community and into the streets and campuses of Washington—meeting people where they are and sharing the hope of Jesus.
This is what multiplication looks like: churches planting churches, sending people, and carrying the gospel wherever God opens a door.
Take a few minutes to read this encouraging story from The Christian Index. 👇

A great Sunday service is a good thing.
But it’s not the ultimate thing.
In Luke 10, Martha was busy serving Jesus while Mary simply sat at His feet and listened. Jesus wasn’t condemning service—He was reminding Martha that our work for Him can never replace our attention to Him.
For church planters and ministry leaders, it’s easy to become consumed with making Sunday excellent: the message, the music, the volunteers, the details.
But before we build a great service, we need to cultivate deep affection for Jesus.
Sit at His feet. Let His Word wash over you. Worship Him. Remember why you started serving in the first place.
“The one thing is necessary.” — Luke 10:42

God is at work in Cartersville! Join us in praying for John and Sara Cuentas and Su Presencia Cartersville as they welcome new families, prepare believers for baptism, and build a gospel-centered refuge of hope in their community. 🙏
🙏
God is opening doors in Cartersville, Georgia.
John and Sara Cuentas are seeing new Hispanic families walk through the doors of Su Presencia Cartersville, and lives are being changed by the gospel.
Today, they’re asking us to pray.
💙 Pray for every new family God is bringing to the church, that they would find hope, healing, and a community rooted in Christ.
💙 Pray for those preparing to take the next step in their faith through baptism.
💙 Pray that discipleship classes will continue to grow and help new believers become deeply rooted in God’s Word.
💙 Pray that God will provide the resources needed to continue serving families in crisis, expanding outreach, and strengthening this church plant for years to come.
John and Sara believe God is building more than a church.
He’s building a refuge of hope for families who desperately need the love of Jesus.
Would you join us in praying for Su Presencia Cartersville today?

Faithful sowing. God-given harvest. 🙌
We love seeing churches across Georgia stay committed to the gospel—and seeing lives transformed as a result. Keep sowing, church.
Across Georgia, churches of every size are seeing more people come to faith in Jesus Christ, and we praise God for the lives being transformed.
One example is Ocilla Baptist Church in Ocilla, GA where baptisms have increased from 3 in 2023 to 36 in 2025. Pastor Billy Stephens, who has served the church since 2018, says the growth is the result of years of faithfully sowing the seeds of the gospel.
As Pastor Stephens shared:
"We just need to be faithful sowers. You always reap what you sow, but you never reap when you sow, and you always reap more than you sow."
May this encourage every church to remain faithful in sharing the gospel, trusting the Lord to bring the harvest in His perfect timing.

Courage in ministry isn’t the absence of fear—it’s fearing God more than we fear people.
Church planters and leaders will face moments when faithfulness requires a hard conversation, an uncomfortable truth, or a gospel invitation that could cost us approval.
May we love people enough to tell the truth, and love Christ enough to care more about His approval than our reputation.
You know that your fear of God has become smaller than your fear of man when you avoid difficult conversations ⬇️
✳️ Conversations that might warn of destruction.
✳️ An honest moment that might let someone down.
✳️ An uncomfortable gospel presentation.
If you find yourself withholding truth to preserve your reputation, this prayer from Elisabeth Elliot is for you today:
“Lord, deliver me from the delusion of imagining that my desire is to serve You when my real desire is the distinction of serving in some way that others admire.”

Kinda biblical to care more about the Kingdom than your own platform.
To send your best people.
To invest in places beyond your own church.
To celebrate multiplication, even when it costs you something.
To believe that every church—big or small—can play a part in planting churches.
Because the goal was never just to fill our rooms.
It’s to make disciples, send leaders, and see the gospel take root in communities across Georgia and beyond.

Leadership isn’t just recognizing the need—it’s responding to it.
When God makes the assignment clear, faithful leaders move forward with courage, urgency, and trust. There will always be reasons to slow down, hesitate, or wait for better conditions. But obedience requires action.
Georgia needs leaders who are ready to step into the need and move the mission forward.
When leaders hear a need, they don’t run from it; they run to it.
When God gives you the assignment - get proactive and hit the gas.

Sending is never easy. It means releasing faithful leaders, trusted friends, and valuable members of your church family.
But when a church sends people to plant, its ministry doesn’t shrink—it reaches farther.
New neighborhoods hear the gospel. New disciples are made. New churches are formed. And the sending church becomes part of a story of multiplication bigger than itself.
Strong churches don’t just gather people. They send them.
