3 weeks after Haiti’s earthquake,Emory doctors from CMDA went down to help Haitian’s .
Shockley had a big group from St Pius over to clean over 260 glasses and read the prescriptions. Lion ‘s Light House provided the equipment and the donated glasses.
Shockley filled a box 📦 and gave to Trey to take . We all prayed over them to go to those needing them because their’s were lost in earthquake .
It was a miracle . Eyes were washed out from Earthquake dust and exams were made with Waffle House hats that were to bring cheer to this devastating situation . Then the closed prescription was given and voila’ they could see !
It was powerful enough that Dr Trey decided that he would become an ophthalmologist and go for four more years of residency at Embry and an extra year of corneal surgery in New York.
To this day, he is excited to be able to be the hands of Christ to help someone ‘s sight !
