We would like to remind our families that we have a District non-profit, the Spartan Promise Council, that exists to remove barriers for students. This non-profit is funded by individual community members and generous church donations. If your Olympia child needs food, clothing, or some other type of assistance, please reach out to our Student Support Specialist, Cari Roop ([email protected]). While there are food pantries in our communities, we also have a Spartan Market on the OHMS campus. The QR code on the flyer allows you to make a request. We hope that these services can help support our students during these challenging times.

Today is National First Responders Day 🇺🇸

We take this day to honor and thank all those who step up when others are in need — the police officers, firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers, and countless others who answer the call, day or night.

To our brothers and sisters across all agencies — thank you for your courage, your compassion, and your commitment to protecting and serving others.

Your dedication keeps our communities safe, informed, and supported when it matters most.

A recent systematic review of 23 longitudinal studies found peer factors, negative emotions, sensation-seeking personality traits, and poor as the most common risk factors for adolescent problematic use.
