Day 2 of Camp FreeWorld Explorers and the building has begun. 🥚🧭

Today our Explorers designed and built their egg protection devices from scratch. Bubble wrap. Cardboard. Cotton balls. Rubber bands. Pure engineering.

The focus in this room today was something special. These children are THINKING. Problem solving. Creating. Collaborating.

The Big Drop is coming soon.
They have no idea if their egg will survive. Neither do I. That’s the point.

Today our Explorers walked in, found their seats, and became a community. We introduced the Explorer Code, met some of the greatest Black explorers and innovators who ever lived, and got our very first look at this week’s STEAM challenge.
