Definitely an overdue post as our last clinic was Feb 22, but what a fun Winter Pitching Camp! We had 24 participants, grouped by experience. We did some high energy drills, some muscle building drills. We broke down the mechanics to show where you could gain more power. The first half of every clinic was Power drills, and the second was about Locations. Had a fun challenge the last day tracking win the first pitch, win the first batter and win the first inning. And we had some beginners starting fresh, learning the basics. We paired our older pitchers with our beginners so they could learn from teaching the younger pitchers.
Thank you all who came out Sunday mornings for 6 weeks! I truly enjoyed the time together and saw good habits settling in for everyone. Now time to come up with another clinic idea to plan!

Had a great clinic this morning! Broke down movements in the pitching motion that can add power to the pitch. These pitchers are taking away some great tips on adding strength to their pitches! I think we wore them out.
I can't love this enough!! Zoe & Mary started taking lessons with me when they were 9 years old! Now, they are junior and seniors in high school! Watching them coach is so gratifying. Seeing all they have learned and understand while teaching the younger pitchers. Watching their confidence and leadership grow. This is a long time to know someone. Almost every week for their lesson for about 8 years! (minus pandemic time) I cherish all these days with all my students. These two remind me why I love coaching so much. And I love the younger girls look up to these two with excitement and a growing bond.
