GCA: IT STARTS WITH A SKETCH w/ EDWINA ✏️🎨

Now it's your turn!! Join us for It Starts With A Sketch with Edwina on Saturday June 6 from 2 to 4pm at CreateATL! This Green Creatives Academy workshop is all about fashion figure drawing and rendering: learning how to take the ideas living in your head and get them onto the page. You'll learn how fabric drapes across the body, how to draw fashion figures, and how to start speaking the visual language of garment making. Whether you've been sketching for years or have never drawn a fashion figure in your life, this is where it clicks.

WE NEED YOUR HELP, SCRAPPY FAM. 🚛💚
Scraplanta is on the hunt for an enclosed trailer. As we grow across ATL and keep showing up for this community, we need the wheels to match the mission. An enclosed trailer means more materials moved, more supplies shared, more of what we do reaching more people.
If you know someone selling one, have a lead, or want to help make it happen, get in touch. This community has come through for us before and we're putting it out there again.
DM us, drop a comment, or send us an email --every lead helps!!
💚 Share this with anyone who might know something. Thank you for helping expand our mission and our reach!!

Our hearts are full from the how our community showed up and showed out for our first every community quilt! We gathered enough blocks to create two quilts for the Refugee Women's Network. We loved the joyful moments during our quilt block parties and the reception. We hope to keep crafting community through more charity events in later this year! Thank you to everyone who participated and please be on the lookout in our newsletter and social media for future events.
We're still closed one more day while we wait for the HVAC people to come by and drain the big scary leaky bag in the ceiling.
We want to make sure our store is safe and shoppable for all!
Thank you for your patience while we work to get the HVAC repaired. Please donate to our fundraising campaign for repair costs.

Update: We will also be closed on Thursday, May 28th while we wait for the HVAC team to repair the unit. We hope to be back open this weekend
Please donate to support our repair costs: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/scraptucker-ceiling-and-hvac-repair
Of all the weekends, the ceiling tile decided to get overwhelmed and collapse in our store. (But honestly, we getchu, Mx. Ceiling Tile!)
Out of abundance of caution for our staff and customers, we will have to close on Monday, May 25th, so we can get someone to look at the ceiling and make repairs. We hope to resume normal retail operations by Thursday, May 28th, but if something changes, we will let you know.
In the meantime, we want everyone to have a safe Memorial Day! Remember those that we've lost and drive safe! We hope you get enjoy some good food with your family and time to craft!

What's the biggest recession indicator? This class, of course! And we are BACK for more, this time at the Scraplet!!
Bring your broken, your in-need-of-repair, your items with potential, and learn how to repair VISIBLY with Casey (aka ) This class is not for invisible repairs. If you want to point to your item and say, with pride, "WOW I made that??" Well, this is for you.
Learn the Japanese art of sashiko (hand-sewn patchwork), needle felting (great for knitwear with holes), and other forms of visible mending to patch and reimagine your items.
After all, who can afford new clothes? It is a recession, after all.
May 30, 2-4 PM at the Scraplet, 900 Murphy Ave SW! Tickets here! https://www.tickettailor.com/events/scraplanta/2160868
