Each year Remembering Wildlife publishes a photo book to raise funds for wildlife conservation. Each volume is filled with images commissioned from some of the world's best professional wildlife photographers. This year more than 1,000 images were submitted by amateur photographers for one of 10 spots reserved for amateur images in the upcoming Remembering Bears volume.
I am happy to share that two of my images have been selected among the 100 finalists for consideration. The first of those images (below) was captured on a grizzly-filled Alaskan trek led by our friend and bear specialist Samantha McNearney in September of 2019. Thank you Samantha.
Remembering Bears will be the 7th book in the Remembering Wildlife series which has so far sold more than 33,000 copies worldwide and donated more than £917,000 ($1,200,00) to conservation projects. Its aim is, each time, to produce the most beautiful book ever seen on a species and use that to raise awareness of its plight and raise funds for its conservation. The kickstarter campaign for this year's book an be supported here https://www.kickstarter.com/.../margotr.../remembering-bears.
