Day 4 chemo update.

I thought I was a superman. Turns out it was just the steroids they give you for the first few days of treatment!

Side effects started in earnest last night. All things to be expected, I just thought maybe I’d get out of them this round because I had been feeling so well the first few days. But no.

I ended up with some neuropathy in my feet and hands, leg cramps, some bone pain from the bone marrow support shot I got the day after treatment, dry mouth, and I don’t know what’s going on with my insides but it isn’t enjoyable. For me OR my wife.

BUT none of that matters! I’m keeping going! I am continuing to move and continuing my challenge, even when I don’t want to, and even when I suck at it like this morning! I’m working to cycle this stuff out of my body and get me onto the other side of treatment.

To all of you who have been DMing and commenting and sending well-wishes, I thank you so much. Your shared stories of your experiences and successes are keeping me going. I couldn’t believe how many outlets picked up my story. I’m still reeling from just everything.

I’ll keep sharing the journey in all its raw ups and downs and thank you for coming along with me! We got this!!

Yep. I have breast cancer. And yep, it’s super rare. Only 1% of breast cancers are men.

I’ll be honest, my first reaction was to keep it secret. I mean it’s kind of embarrassing. But then I found out that men are more likely to be diagnosed in advance stages BECAUSE it’s not talked about and not looked for. In fact, my doctors all dismissed it and it was only because my wife pushed me to get the lump removed that I got in early.

So let’s start talking about it! 1 in 755 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and if caught early, it’s VERY treatable. Time to answer the Wake Up Call! Like, Save, Share, Comment let’s spread the word!

Here’s some of my best wrestling from back in the day, a little commercial I did. Wayback when with ‘s uncle Ciara I believe. It was one of the every few commercials I ever did.

I had a great weekend talking to everyone about all things movies and wrestling. I want to say at these conventions I always have conversations with people that are first responders and people that deal with the horrors of human trafficking on a daily basis. People that are actively pursuing the traffickers and others helping the young ones that have been trafficked get their lives back on track as best as possible. So to all first responders and others doing your part thank you from the bottom of my heart.
