gospel both on a personal basis and in their calling. Mentors know how to ask the good questions and are
dedicated to speaking the truth in love, encouraging
the student in life and education. Eventually people need to try things in the field and
learn by doing. At MAS we take “hands on” seriously
and our mentors are equipped to collaborate with
students to provide good supervised field education. Activities vary, but they are always centered around
the student learning new things about the gospel and
his or her heart. Practical activities prepare students
like an internship would; to be ready to work upon
graduation. Some samples of practical work:
1. Teaching and/or preaching
2. Learning how to connect with people in your
workplace
3. Getting to know your neighbors and co-workers
on a deeper level
4. Becoming familiar with the workings of the
church by interviewing church leaders, and
participating in services.
5. Be engaged as a leader in a discipleship group.
6. Starting a group for business leaders. MAS is a 501c3 organization. Our desire is to
make quality education available to all who
desire it and are willing to pursue the rigors of
the program. Fees average $400 per term. The
total cost for s student is no more then $1,500 per
year. Students normally take 3 years, going one
night a week for 32 weeks per year. And they are
sad to leave because they have built lifelong
friendships with other students and faculty. Scholarships are available!
