We just released groundbreaking research with Science for Georgia on data center growth in the Southeast, and the findings should concern every ratepayer in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Utilities are planning massive infrastructure expansions based on projections that our analysis shows have only a 0.2% probability of actually happening. Meanwhile, technology improvements could keep energy demand nearly flat, even as AI workloads grow.
