“Housing, healthcare, & an economy for all.” Many of you may have heard me say this in a speech, an interview, or at the door. This campaign is for people like us, to fight for the issues that affect us all, including me & my family.

Anna & I met working together as canvassers & moved in together during COVID. We both got into politics to advocate for change & had no idea just how much we would go through together.

Housing has always been an issue. Raising rents caused us to move around a lot. The constant question of “will we ever own a home?” When we ran our first campaign, I waited tables between campaign events to afford to live as we took on this massive endeavor. One of our biggest challenges continued to be making just enough to afford rent.

Both of us have skipped doctors’ appointments to save money. Anna even had a health scare that landed her in the hospital because she waited too long due to a lack of insurance.

Wages are not keeping up with skyrocketing costs; companies continue to slash almost entire departments, and most of us wonder how we will be employed when we are competing with AI.

Now more than ever, we need regular people at the Capitol. It is very easy to find a representative who is wealthy or a lawyer, but nearly impossible to talk to one who has survived on tipped wages or currently doesn’t own a home. Many have never had to debate going to the doctor or affording groceries.

I have spoken with thousands of you at the doors. Many who struggle with health issues, some on the verge of eviction, or people who are too terrified to even open their door because of ICE. I see a district that deserves better. It is why I fight for you every day at the Capitol. Whether it’s a legal issue, support in your case about flooding, or just someone to talk to.

My family raised me to be in community and give back. Today, I want to fight for both your family & mine - for a better future.

I hope that I can earn your trust to continue to serve you as your Representative for GA House District 42. Please vote for me, Gabriel Sanchez, on May 19th to fight for real change. Let’s do it together.

Governor Brian Kemp vetoed $300 million of necessary funds for Georgians in the budget.

Kemp cut necessary funding for schools, healthcare, and environmental programs to prioritize tax cuts that overwhelmingly benefit the rich.

We desperately need new leadership and that means electing progressives up and down the ballot in these May primaries! If you want someone who will fight for you, make sure to vote for me on May 19th for GA House District 42!
