RIP to renowned literary legend, professor, activist and poet Nikki Giovanni🙏🏾 Thank you for being one of the many voices of inspiration to me as a poet, author and speaker. Your lifetime work has been and will continue to be such a powerful influence to the Black Arts movement.

God calls us His MASTERPIECE🙏🏾
Ephesians 2:10, “[W]e are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” God is no amateur potter, but an artisan who has already begun to shape us into a masterpiece. God sees potential in us that we cannot grasp.

Don't leave anything for later.
Later, the coffee gets cold.
Later, you lose interest.
Later, the day turns into night.
Later, people grow up.
Later, people grow old.
Later, life goes by.
Later, you regret not doing something...
When you had the chance.
Life is a fleeting dance, a delicate balance of moments that unfold before us, never to return in quite the same way again.
Regret is a bitter pill to swallow, a weight that bears down upon the soul with the burden of missed chances and unspoken words.
So, let us not leave anything for later. Let us seize the moments as they come, with hearts open and arms outstretched to embrace the possibilities that lie before us. For in the end, it is not the things we did that we regret, but the things we left undone, the words left unspoken, the dreams left unfulfilled.

Starting off the month of March celebrating “Women’s History” makes me extremely grateful for the women who have been and currently are the trailblazers of the past, present and future💜
May we gleam from them, raise them and be them💜
Episode #22: Trish Miller SwemKids
I met this sister a few years ago at TedxAtlanta and was immediately blessed to hear about her passion and business SwemKids. This nonprofit teaches introductory swimming lessons and water safety skills to communities that experience the highest rates of drowning.
The business is a little over 7 years old and she currently has over 600 adults + children who participate weekly in lessons and activities. Her organization is responsible for teaching over 2,100 black youths in metro Atlanta how to swim! Yes!!!
Oh, that’s just ONLY a few stats~ Trish Miller is a DEEP sister with big dreams for “Swem Kids”🌊🏊🏽♀️ and I can’t wait for you to hear this visionary and amazing sister who truly has a heart for African American kids💙💙
