Come meet our new receptionist! We're working extra hours and bringing on new people to try to help you get out there and have fun on the water this summer.
Hello there! We are looking for 3-4 people to start immediately working in marine trailer assembly, small parts assembly and general metal fabrication. You should have steel toed boots and we will be providing safety glasses and gloves, though of course if you have something you prefer to use that is good. Hours are 7AM - 3 PM with OT available for now until July 4th, minimum. The work is located in Doraville, so transportation to the workplace will be important. There is Marta and Gwinnett County Transit as well in the area. You will be expected to be capable of lifting between 25-75LBs on the regular.
Starting pay will be between $12-13/hr and you will be paid as an independent contractor for the first two weeks, meaning taxes will not be taken out from our end and will be your responsibility upon tax filing season, as a result of our probation period. After that we'll get you to fill out the rest of your information to get you into our system, as well as give a $300 bonus if you have demonstrated competence and have been a team player per our existing employees. As for drug testing, there will be no drug test unless there is suspicion that you are either on something or that hard drugs may be involved. We are not concerned if Ma*****na is found in your system, which is legal in one form or the other for more than 207 million people and is decriminalized in Atlanta, but other drugs are an issue. Furthermore, should an accident occur in the workplace there is a mandatory drug test required by our Workers' Comp Insurance to determine if that played a role. However, we've never had an issue like that previously.
All that being said, this is still a work environment and you are expected to act accordingly. We do accept people that may have had a felony in their background, as that should not be what holds you back from moving forward in life - failures are meant to be lessons from which to grow. We can evaluate on a case by case basis.
We are currently working Monday - Saturday, though it will not be expected of you to work Saturday too. Of course, if you do work Saturday as well to demonstrate you are a go-getter, we will not be saying no. If you do have background in metalworking and forklift operations you'll be automatically bumped to $14.00 upon completion of the 2 weeks probation.
Please don't hesitate to either respond here, message me or give me a call at 404-791-2797. Please call between the hours of 9AM and 7PM any day moving forward from this post.
