"Families are like branches on a tree, we grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one." - Unknown. Our roots define us. My family is a vast network of people with the surname Eley. The Eley Clan, as we call ourselves, extends from coast to coast and when we come together, the room hums with stories of our history and feels complete with love, laughter, and peace. We may grow and grow but the name remains as our call to our past and our future.

A family’s journey is a map marked with landmarks of shared experiences.
I loved being able to share these moments of learning with Amber and her kids at their home in Atlanta. This was one of the different lesson plans she used in her homeschooling methods and allowed the kids to even paint their own versions of Van Gogh’s ‘Girl with the Pearl Earring’. It was incredible seeing how the kids created their own versions of the masterpiece.

I'm smiling as the fall season begins to make its appearance! Reminiscing about the projects I tackled in 2023 while working with Big Communications on the Callahan Eye campaign was an absolute delight. It allowed me to capture and convey the pure joy and vibrant energy in each and every one of the portraits.
