Atlanta SCAR (Sickle Cell Awareness Ride)
SCAR is an acronym for Sickle Cell Awareness Ride. The purpose of the Atlanta SCAR is to heighten awareness of Sickle Cell Trait and Sickle Cell Disease. INC
The first annual Atlanta SCAR was held September 8, 2012, in College Park, GA. After thorough deliberation, the decision to dissolve S.C.A.R. was made on January 20, 2025.
