Whether youβre new to Breakthrough or a longtime champion, we welcome you to tour our classrooms, meet our students, and discover how our supporters are shaping futures.
We have two opportunities in June to see our life changing educational experiences firsthand with our High School Readiness and College Prep Programs.
First up is our College Prep Program from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10 at Emory University.

π With our Scholar Send-Off, weβre celebrating our recently graduated seniors! Today, we congratulate Lauren who is headed to Clark Atlanta University to major in business administration.
During high school, Lauren participated in dance, theater, and the financial literacy program. She was a member of the Honor Society and was a 12-year member of the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta.

Janai was dual enrolled at Georgia State University, took AP classes, and finished top 15% in her class. Her volunteer service included prepping meals for the homeless at the Million Meal pack.

π Weβre celebrating our graduating seniors with our annual Scholar Send-Off! Today, we congratulate Anthony who is headed to Georgia Southern University as a Pre-Med Biology major with a minor in public health.
During high school, Anthony was a member of:

π The Superintendent Advisory Board
He also led as the Class of 2026 Treasurer and was heavily involved in volunteer work: assisting in church, helping at two different thrift stores, around his school, and serving in different Nigerian organizations (to stay rooted in his culture).
Anthony took on a job at a Rex Childcare Early Learning Center to stay connected to kids, ensuring they have a relatable role model and leader that is closer to their age.
Anthony said: βMy favorite Breakthrough moment would be when we had the field day. We had a wonderful day outside just competing with each other and making fun memories.β

π Received the Kennesaw State University STEM Immersion Program Award
His volunteer service included Youth to Men at hospitals, park clean-ups, and Tillman House Food Pantry.
