In 2018, I lost my birth father to colorectal cancer. Not long after, I started my business as a way to honor the family legacy. To this day, I keep his picture in a corner of my studio as a reminder.
That loss is why this cause means so much to me. On Saturday, September 19th, Nicole Brooks Portraits is proud to partner with BeastRob for a Paint-by-Numbers experience where creativity meets purpose, raising awareness for colorectal cancer.
Join us at 12pm or 4pm at Nicole Brooks Portraits in Grayson, GA. Bring a friend, grab a brush, and be part of something bigger than a canvas.

In loving memory of my birth father. For every family who's ever heard the words "there was no cure." Let's paint together, with purpose. 🎨💙

Sometimes taking care of the people we love starts with a conversation. 💙
Maybe it’s asking about your family’s health history. Maybe it’s encouraging someone to talk with their doctor. Or maybe it’s reminding someone you love that colorectal cancer screening generally begins at age 45 for adults at average risk, and some people may need to start earlier.
As BeastRob partners with Colorectal Cancer Equity Foundation for the Beloved Community International Expo, we’re encouraging families to have these conversations now, not someday.
Who first encouraged you to take your health seriously? Give them some love in the comments, or share this with someone whose health matters to you.

When a blessing comes our way, we pass it on. 💙
BeastRob was blessed with a food donation a few months ago, and we were able to turn around and donate 323 pounds of food to the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Cancer has taught us a lot about what it means to care for people, and sometimes caring looks as simple as helping put food on someone’s table.
323 pounds and a whole lot of gratitude. 🙏🏾
Okay y’all, remember Krishae Vinson's (age 39) colonoscopy? 👀
Well, they found AND removed a polyp.
Our co-founder Andrea Will caught up with her afterward to hear how she felt about it all, and what she’d say to somebody who’s scared to get one.

Great things happen when purpose-driven organizations come together for the health of their community. 💙
BeastRob and the Colorectal Cancer Equity Foundation are joining forces at the 2026 Beloved Community International Expo to make colorectal cancer education welcoming, interactive, and easier to understand.
Together, we are bringing prevention, early detection, and screening conversations directly into the community because everyone deserves information that can help protect their health.
Share this post with an Atlanta-area family, church, civic group, or community organization that should know about this free event.
📢 Cancer disproportionately impacts Black communities, especially colorectal cancer, and too many diagnoses happen at later stages. But one of the most powerful tools for changing that story is already sitting at the family dinner table.
Your family's cancer history.
Knowing your family's history gives you and your healthcare provider info that can lead to earlier screenings, informed decisions, and better outcomes.
Let's stop leaving gaps where life-saving conversations should be.
NO MORE GAPS.
Start the conversation. Know your history. Change the future.
