The 4 anger cues you can catch before you blow up:
1. THOUGHTS — "Here we go again."
2. FEELINGS — disrespected, hurt, embarrassed
3. BODY — heart racing, jaw tight, fists clenched
4. BEHAVIORS — raised voice, pointing, ALL CAPS texts
Most people don't notice until #4, when it's already out of their mouth. Catch it at 1, 2 or 3 and you get a choice.

Here's something I tell every class: anger is a normal emotion. Everybody gets it. Judges get it. I get it.
What gets people in trouble is the behavior — the text you send at 11 PM, the words at the custody exchange, the door you slam.
