Helloooooo. It’s been a minute. I was thinking about the construction of felt today to get the effect I’m looking for, and thought of my plaid construction for this dress.

Also wanted to share this because it continues to be one of my favorite dolls I’ve made. This is inspired by The Grand Budapest Hotel. And, my love of pink!

This is a custom map I created with the location of a first date. The two main color tones represent the two people coming together. The red area, of course, represents the location of the first date and where their love story began.

I adored making this wedding anniversary gift. I worked with the client to match the original wedding outfits and then have the portrait setting be where they were married. So very sweet!

Did you know the etiquette is that you can give gift for up to a year after the wedding? A custom portrait would be a unique and wonderful gift!

I was talking with a friend of mine today and I was reminded of this piece. If you don’t recognize it, it is the wagon queen family truckster from National Lampoon‘s Vacation. Complete with the sad leash on the back.

I really loved making this. Maybe I should do more things like this. What are your thoughts? What would you have me make?

I had so much fun making these English cocker spaniels in antique gold frames. I love the contrast of felt against the beautiful frames. It’s a fun and wonderful way to display the dog portraits. I look forward to making more in fun picture frames!

Let’s take a closer look at Bruiser! This hand stitched little cutie is inspired by the movie Legally Blonde. The overall look is inspired by the Harvard lawn introductions scene.

Bruiser is wearing his Harvard sweater. The background are the stripes from Elle‘s shirt in that scene. I loved incorporating a silver thread in between the strips of felt!
