Following early public meetings, a development plan for the East Lake MARTA station will commence this month. Based on ridership numbers, the East Lake Station is considered the second-most underutilized MARTA station in the system. The study will be carried out in partnership between Decatur, City of Atlanta and MARTA to develop and revitalize the transit hub.

The MORE MARTA website has been updated with dates and locations for pop-up events at local MARTA stations and Fresh MARTA Markets. Information and surveys will be available for individuals interested in learning about MORE MARTA and current plans or projects for the system. If you can, please complete a survey. Your input will help MARTA as we continue to improve and implement service.

The next pop-up event will occur this evening, July 19th at Lenox Station from 3pm - 5pm. Information will also be available at the Five Points Fresh Market this Friday, July 21st from 3pm - 5pm.
