I think life should be a series of beautiful rooms, full of utility graced with the touch of materials that age with grace and deepens with sentimentality. A table to gather around, the ritual of bathing, a place for your eye to linger, and the idea of rest can be captured. This home that we renovate for a client almost 15 years ago, was so rich with history and character our roll was to peel the layers of a 1990’s renovation, and tip the hat to the New Orleans golden era…. We designed a palette of materials that speaks to the craft of the original home…

Office design should inspire and transform the event into a collaborative spirit, but we think that has been lost…… we go fast alone, but go further together
At the we wanted that transformation to occur inside the non de script brick building, for the home of scholars to peel away the typical columns of education…… creating a blank canvas, with future visions almost in focus

We have been proud to create great projects with great clients, who happen to live in our own little part of town…..This residence was designed for jewelry designers. The property is located 1 block from the Atlanta Beltline, and very close to the owner’s previous home. The clients desired to maintain the large tree in the front yard, as it retains a connection to the original neighborhood’s landscape plan of trees that line the block. The bronzed screen at the front of the house relays the plan for the city blocks of the old 4th ward and screens the setting west sun. The brick is a material that relates to the surrounding homes. The home has; 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, roof terrace, a garage designed for car lifts, a living level that allows for direct connection to the pool terrace, retractable screen….. The clients had a long wish list. A challenging site, 55’ wide x 146’ deep, the front and rear yard setbacks limited the location of the pool and residence. The grade change of 4 feet from the front door to the rear lounging terrace, presented the opportunity to step the procession through the home and transition the experience from the front door to main entertaining space.

Our Casa in detail…. We wanted a sun filled bath without the show and tell, you know what I mean;)… so we designed a custom skylight above the shower…. We have stuff so having lots of storage was a must in the bathroom, almost like a luxury locker and a delicate chest of drawers…. We love to touch things beautifully designed every day so the faucets are by (in MOMAs permanent collection) designed by , tub filler and shower controls are by ….. Just sayin if you are going to live with beauty, gotta live with the best….
