ICTD2012 just two months away – it’s time to register!

We have an exciting and dynamic program slated for the 4-day conference. On Monday, March 12th, and Thursday, March 15th, attendees will be able to choose from nearly 40 Open Sessions (panels, workshops, and more) and 29 demos presented by practitioners and academic institutions from across the globe. In addition, joint with the co-located ACM DEV conference,

David Kobia, Co-Founder and Director of Technology Development for Ushahidi, will give a keynote speech on Monday. On Tuesday, March 13th, and Wednesday, March 14th, ICTD 2012 will offer a slate of 38 peer-reviewed papers in plenary and poster presentation. We are also pleased to welcome the Honorable Omobola Johnson, Minister of Communication and Technology, Federal Republic of Nigeria as keynote speaker on Tuesday.

Welcome to ICTD | ICTD 2012 Welcome to the Fifth International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies and Development (ICTD2012), hosted at the Georgia Institute of Technology, March 12-15, 2012, Atlanta, Georgia USA. ICTD2012 is held in cooperation with ACM SIGCHI and ACM SIGCAS.

Accepted Papers/Posters are now listed in the website. The early-bird registration rate has been extended until December 21st.

The ICTD 2012 Call for Participation is out! Please register at http://www.ictd2012.org/registration. Early bird (by Dec 14): $375, Full: $450. Registration fee includes admission to all the conference tracks, coffee/tea breaks, lunch, electronic proceedings, and selected social activities.

The October 7th deadline to submit an Open Session proposal is fast approaching! Sessions vary widely in theme and style, including panels, discussions, SIGs and workshops. Submit soon: http://www.ictd2012.org/opensessions

Scholarships | ICTD 2012 ICTD will provide a limited number of scholarships to enable people to participate in the conference who might not otherwise be able to do so. The level of support will depend on the amount of sponsorship money available. Scholarships will be of three kinds:
